OK, just when you were getting complacent and thinking I had sated myself on the storm drains in Ross Bay, I have to throw another one at you. This is from the first weekend of sunbathing weather, and not only is the drain soaking up the sun, but so are two women on the other side of the log closest to the drain. You can see one of their heads, and another’s leg if you peer closely.
I really wanted to get a picture of them in their bikinis cuddled up with “my” storm drain. But, no way was I going to ask, or just stand there and point my camera at them. I have to like anyone that likes this drain enough to hang around it for hours on end.
Anyway, this just shows another face of the storm drain, which I most often give to you as long exposures taken in bad weather, like this one. Not because I am a masochist either. Though when compared to this scene, even I have to wonder.
I have included a b&w and colour version here just because. The colour because you were not going to believe me that there was a leg, or a head, sticking up from behind that log. And, because I think it is a bit better than the black and white. But, the latter is better for showing the textures of beach and water.

This post is set to publish in my absence. I will have limited access to a computer. I might be able to respond to comments over the weekend; if not I will do so in a few days.
