Sandal Critic
A scene from Wharf Street, Victoria shot from the waist while walking around with Melinda Green Harvey.
That man said something, probably rude, to the young cyclists – they seemed more amused than annoyed.
Perhaps he did not like her sandals, or the backwards cap.

Perhaps was commenting on the Mariners hat..which is backwards? 😉 Funny but I hardly shoot from the hip, I should try it one afternoon.

Hi David, thanks for all the comments just now!
His hat is not backwards, so I think that might be the answer.
I don’t feel comfortable shooting people in many circumstances – worried about confrontations especially from street people. So I have been trying it out – the results are very mixed, partly due to my lack of practice, partly because framing is problematic, to say the least.

Where was I when this happened?!!? I recognize the intersection, but I completely missed the interaction that you caught. Good work!

I think you might have been a few steps behind me. We had just looked down into that deep light well in the old building behind me and perhaps I left that location a bit earlier than you?.

I think this corner was where I became transfixed with some kind of a poster that was stuck on a utility pole. The photo of it was crap, so you clearly made the better choice!

Well, I never notices you and the poster, so it goes to show how blind (or blinkered anyway) we become when holding a camera!
