Reprise I
.
I thought I would occasionally pull forward pictures from when I started blogging.
(I am running out of my free allocation of space at WP).
This was part of the post Glass Gate Sunset from one of my first posts in Sept 2011.

Canon 5Dii, (and probably 50/1.4 )
This is an image that deserves to be seen and admired – it’s on fire.

Thank you Andy! It is one of those shots which sticks in my memory, for the right reasons, so I am glad others are pleased by it too.

Hi Yvonne – yes – I actually circled around the adjacent beach and took pictures (including my avatar photo) and when I was heading back I saw the chance for a photo unfold.

Thanks Ashoke – a bit earlier I had seen the woman of the household at that gate and wished I had taken a shot. Then the man arrived home from work. Lucky combination of events.

Thanks Kate! I waited for this scene to happen, I could see it was about to unfold, though the happy dog was a bonus.

Some photographers wait hours or days for a shot like this and still come away empty handed. You were lucky!

I was indeed. It remains one of my favourites that I have taken since I started blogging.

Thanks – it is quite stunning. This is when I was first learning how to use a DSLR and shooting jpegs and who knows what setting, so the camera might be responsible for some of the saturation, but I am not complaining.
