This part of the Mayne Island shoreline has little corners that are full of logs, at least seasonally.
Opposite this shore is the outflow of the Fraser River.
The river discharges 112 cubic kilometres of water per annum, including a lot of logs.

Hi Andy, people do burn beach logs but one has to be careful as the salt they usually contain can cause serious corrosion, especially to any metal parts. The logs are also salvaged to use for a variety of other purposes, including construction. But if they have pebbles impacted into them, it can be ruinous of the saw blades. I am not sure how they deal with that problem.
