Ocean in Distress
A storm washed shoreline in January 2012, Harling Point. One of my favourite photos of water.
I am in the field and totally off the grid for most of July, so my responses to comments will be interrupted.

Was it a timed photo Mr E? I am not surprised it is a favourite.

Hi Kate. It was a 25 second exposure under nasty conditions. The camera was shrouded in a “rainsleeve” to save it from the blowing spray and rain.

Never heard of a rain sleeve before. Interesting.

This is the wet coast of Canada where rainsleeves are a good idea. They are an angled plastic bag with a pull cord at one end that you place around the outer end of the lense. You can see through it and manipulate buttons and dials through it and if necessary poke a hole for the tripod mount. They are good for several uses and work pretty well. Since they pack up small, they can be carried in a camera bag just in case you need one.

They sound disposable? Thanks for the details Mr E. ❤️

They are disposable – glorified plastic bags.
