At the dock in Heriot Bay, Quadra Island.
Do you suppose the Cortes Crystal Kids heed cautions?
Whoever they are?

what a very odd caution sign…is one supposed to be alert to the danger of boxes falling from the heavens??

Hi Sherry. It shows its ad hoc creation I think, and the need for local knowledge. The sign is situated at the top end of a ramp that slopes down to the dock, very steeply at low tide. So the intent, as read by someone that has carried many loads on these ramps, is to warn of a slipping hazard while descending under load. I can even say authoritatively, when you fall on a ramp like that, while carrying some thing heavy, it seems as if your load hangs in the air above you for a small eternity, before dropping into an attack on your ribs or other tender places.
