That cemetery is one of my favorite places to shoot, and I am not sure why to be honest. This is a terrific series, my friend, you’ve really captured a set that showcases the real essence of this peaceful spot. LOVE that selective coloring in shot #2!!

Thanks Toad. I think that shot is my favourite too. It is a great place to have a short walk from the house.

Lovely series. The little yellow flowers are quite striking amongst all that grey.

Thank you Karen. Those flowers just persisted through my processing – as I was desaturating the image they were the last thing to disappear. I decided to reward their persistence, and like the effect. I processed this image I had not discovered all the features of LR4 that would allow me to have kept them and very little or none of the green, but I like the hints of green too.

Graveyards are where photographers go to live. You can quote me on that.

I probably will quote you:) Next time I am in a Cemetery. It’s a horrible day for photography – low grey dull ceiling and rain – which scotches (what is the origin of that term?) my plans for visiting a Cemetery. But, I can live with that.
