Before Christmas @hughstomato and I went to the opening of @mackie.bran 's installation at the @comoxvalleyartgallery. Their work The Speculum Project is part of the gallery's Incubator series featuring @northislandcollege visual arts students. The work is an exploration of how the act of viewing through an instrument made for looking obscures the ability to see the whole. I expect this applies to cameras as well.
