Cloud Pool III
When there is a good sky I can’t leave this pool alone, or really any of these pools at the Chinese Cemetery. I have previously posted about these pools, last year with Cloud Pool and a few weeks ago with Cloud Pool II, both of a pool near to this one.
I commented on another post recently that I find these pools a bit like a hole in the ground, filled with sky. Very nice to come across on a walk, breaking open the bedrock like this.

Getting poetic on us, are you? Because “a bit like a hole in the ground, filled with sky” is poetry.

Well Melinda, I was not trying to be poetic, but if you find it that way, then that is pleasing to me.

I love these shots of the pool, especially when the water is so glassy (is that a word?). Nicely framed, too.

Thank you Ken. Glassy is a word I use, so let’s call it official.
I am glad you approve of the framing. I was rushed when I took the shot and spent most of my framing effort on the lower corners. When I noticed afterwards that I had cropped a small bay on the left I was not sure if it worked, but decided I liked it.
