Contemplation

Yesterday’s post featured a spectacular sunset which followed the perigee moon rise shown here the day before. I was surprised at how many people were on the rocks in the Chinese Cemetery to watch the moon. And then they turned around and watched the sunset. This fellow, in his stillness, appeared contemplative and at peace.
How could such a sky not instil a peaceful feeling, at least for a short while?

This is a good example of where better software would benefit my photography – these two images could be combined so that both the man and the clouds are in focus.

With the guy looking into the photo the top one works best and portrays the contemplation theme to perfection. Great composition and awesome colors,eh?

It was an awesome display. I would like to combine that top silhouette with the bottom clouds, and one day I will, when I know how.

And, I think the contrail needs to go as well. More distracting than interesting.
