No Man Shadow

IMG_7845-Edit

I like this one nearly as much as yesterday’s, but the man whose shadow this is makes that shot better.

However, this shot is much more abstract and that I do like.

  1. I like the processing of these blue ones. They are like cyanotypes and I think would be interesting printed on rag paper.
I seem to be way behind on looking at other blogs, lots of interesting work here, ehpem.

  3. This is almost as evocative as yesterdays shot. But I have to say I prefer it with the figure of the man in the frame. It’s lonelier. Unless you see the first photo it’s difficult to say if this is the shadow of a person. I like the human element.

    • Thanks Ken – those are my feelings too, though I had not thought to call it ‘lonely’, that is a good descriptor for how I react to the photo. Maybe it is why I don’t like the man-with-dog version so much (perhaps to come later). I do like the abstract nature and shape of the shadow though, and in many circumstances it could work really well too, as a graphic element.
