Prepare for Glory
This surfer’s VW van was parked in my neighbourhood in the summer. I could not resist a quick snapshot while out for a stroll with friends.
It really has had a lot of creative energy put into it.
Have to love that sign on the side: Tsunami Hazard Zone. In Case of Earthquake Prepare for Glory.

What a ride!!! The rivets give it sort of a steampunk look.

The rivets were what drew me in. That and the grinder marks. I like the look.

That looks kinda cool. Interesting choice of last word – Glory. Glory in the thrill of that last ride on the wave of a lifetime, or ‘Glory’ being the place we all go to once we depart this mortal coil?

Hi Andy, those are good questions. I suspect it is the glory of the ride of a lifetime, but without much consideration given to it being a last ride. Perhaps this article is what it is all about: http://www.kenbradshaw.com/stories/houston.html
But who knows, if you look up glory in the Urban Dictionary (which does seem a good source in these circumstances) there are many meanings that I had never known. And it gets compounded with other words to make many phrases with diverse meanings. Interesting to find so many differences.
