Chock Block
Another shot from the car deck of the MV Powell River Queen.
Not sure why this chock did not make it under a car; the ferry was packed and thus no shortage of wheels.
I am in the field until mid-September, sometimes off grid but usually will be able to respond to comments and so on.

These used to be painted white and have “BCFC” painted in black on the side of them. I found one on a beach that I used as the emergency brake on my 1978 VW van. Now Mike Kennedy uses it as the e-brake for his 1966 Land Rover. Good to see one in situ.

Yes, in situ, but not actually in use. Useful things in many circumstances, and actually quite easily made if one cared to.
