Breakwater Dive
Another revisit of a theme I had running for a while – the blocks at Ogden Point Breakwater. You can find out more about the breakwater in my first post of this series.
This is near the first corner of the breakwater looking west towards Metchosin and Race Rocks. Ogden Point is a favourite place for scuba diving – it is often that divers are seen in this area and this sign is a permanent reminder to boat operators of the likelihood of someone being in the water in this area.

This post was scheduled in advance as I am out of town and completely off grid for the first two weeks of June. Naturally I won’t be answering any comments until I get back – but please, don’t hesitate to comment, I will do my best to respond when I can.

I like this image…it has a nice moody feel. Many varieties of gray shades too. The flat area doesn’t look very wide here!

Hi Judy – thanks for commenting 🙂 The narrow looking ledge is a bit of an optical illusion because it is the same all along the breakwater. I guess it must be the curve that makes it look narrow.

I am fascinated by the atmosphere your photos bring with them. There is a sense of space, of vasteness of the sea, sorry if my English is not well. I will borrow this one for my desktop, I hope you don’t mind. Thank you for introducing your city and the surrounding magnificent views to us. Some of us are very far away (like me :)) and may never be there to see it in person, but this is a beautiful way to get to know some distant and beautiful corners of the world.
