Trafalgar Bench

Trafalgar Bench

One of the benches in Trafalgar Park, taken last summer on a very nice day

I was processing images from a panorama series I took at that time but which I have never stitched together for want of good software. I noticed a lot of nice textures in otherwise rather random shots of the foreground to the panorama that was not to be. Anyway, I will publish some of those, but in the processing I found this image which I like enough to post on its own.

  1. This is perfect, love the natural leading lines and all the rich textures in both the landscape and the wood bench! Perfect as a b&w, it really brings out all the drama of these great settings!

  2. This is an excellent image. I think photographers are required to shoot benches at every opportunity, like sunrises, sunsets and baskets of kittens. I have a ton of bench images and i never seem to get enough.

    • Thanks Melinda! I know if you like a foreground then it must be broad and clean. The treatment on this photo was done as part of a series that I was contemplating putting into one post – for the texture of the rock mostly.
