Johnson and Cook XVI

Black and whites in my series at the corner of Johnson and Cook Streets. Puddle reflections, with one context shot at the bottom.
In the picture below there is a curious, and interesting, optical illusion as if the triangular bit of side-walk is raised quite a bit above the rest of the scent, when in fact they are very nearly level.

Lovely tones – I especially like the arrow dissolving into the puddle/asphalt.

Hi Ryan! Thanks for the comment. Dissolving is a good word for that, the cracks in the pavement and paint rather like the reflected branches.

Whoever B6 is reserved fr must be really important since they wrote it twice. That’s my favorite shot but the rain adds such dimension to all of them.

Thanks Ken. It’s my favourite too. I played around with the crop quite a bit until I had something that worked well.
Important or otherwise, this parking lot often seems to be not very full. Maybe they are so important that they get a spot even though they only work one day a week, or something.

These are very nice – I like the way the arrow seems to be pointing toward the reflections of the trees. And ripples from the rain in the second shot are perfect!

Thank you Melinda. I am particularly fond of those ripples.
