Johnson and Cook XVII

Mono Mondrian 3

Today we say goodbye, in black and white, to my series from the corner of Johnson and Cook Streets. I end up back where I started 17 posts ago, at the nearly completed condo, The Mondrian.

It has featured in the background of quite a few shots in this series; it is after all the subject that drew me to this location in the first place, in spite of the rain. My inexperience at photographing this kind of building kept me searching for points of view. Thank goodness that led me to some of the other more interesting subjects that I found.

    • Thank you Melinda. I am quite surprised where post-processing has led this series. Many of the images came out of the camera with an unpromising future stamped on them, but I did not throw away too many of them.

    • Thanks Ken! I used a version of this picture in the first post in the series. In colour, and with some cropping (I was trying to reduce the advertising element). I can’t believe how much better this worked out than before. I am still reserving judgement on the building itself. It will done pretty soon and then I will decide.
