Laurel Hedge
I was framing a photograph of this red kayak and umbrella against the laurel hedge.
I heard footsteps behind me and then a caped postie walked into the photo, improving it a lot, with a slight adjustment in framing.

Thanks! I am glad too – it was cold rain and I almost didn’t stop as I walked past, my destination being just a few doors further.

I hope you bought a lottery tick that day.

After taking a statistics course or three I pretty much stopped buying lottery tickets. Better chance of someone walking into, and improving, a picture than winning anything in a lottery.
Having said that, before Christmas I won 3rd (hand carved silver bracelet) and 4th (limited edition print) prizes in a draw to raise money to help a friend visit sick family. First time I have won anything in a very long time! So, that does me for a few years I expect.

Thanks Val. It was shaping up to be much less interesting prior to this postal intervention.
