Red Frame

IMG_3805-Edit

These panels framed in red caught my eye when in Port Angeles. The diagonal panel in the top photo makes it look as if part of the wall is at an angle; helped by the plants I think.

The bottom photo is just for a bit more context, looking down the building beside a parking lot. I was very pleased with the in-camera framing of the top picture which is not cropped or straightened. The bottom one has a bit of cropping and a tiny amount of straightening.

  1. The top photo looked a bit like a piece of a puzzle or an optical illusion at first. Excellent job framing. The second photo, though a spoiler, shows that it’s really a nicely designed exterior.

    • Hi Ken. That optical illusion is what I liked. The second photo is a spoiler, maybe I should have put it further down the page.
The exterior cladding is very simple and probably inexpensive, but effective at breaking up would otherwise be a big blank space, asking for graffiti.

  2. Really nice…at first I was trying to figure out if this was a corner and if so, which direction was the “wall” on the left going (inside/outside corner)! Figured it out as soon as I scrolled down a tad! Nice find. 🙂

    • Thanks David! It stopped me in my tracks when we were walking around town after our walk in the mountains, even though we were looking for a good place to eat, and finally closing in on one, I still felt compelled to stop. Glad I did.
