Ross Bay Sign
Well, I was going to finish off my flint knapping series with the time-lapse video, but youtube was not allowing video edits last night, so instead we take a trip over to Dallas Road and Ross Bay. This is the east end of Ross Bay taken from right next to that end of the Ross Bay Cemetery.

The yellow creates the composition definitely. A very restful scene, even the ship seems perfectly suitable for the image. And then there are those wonderful clouds. It’s an image where every item within it contributes to the image’s success. Clever composition.

Thank you Andy, it’s always nice to have a critique of this sort (even if negative). For me an important part of what caught my eye and helped bring the camera to my eye was the sign shadow.

Good work, getting the clouds to so closely follow the lines of the mountains!

THAT was a lot of effort, and they did not quite line up right. I didn’t feel like getting back in the boat and heading back over there to tweak the arrangement. So instead I pretended it was a shot of a street sign. Trust you to see through my pretence.

Yeah, I’m pretty clever that way….

I like the ribbon of clouds at the top of the frame. And again, the yellow and blue is my favorite combination. I can’t help but like this one.

Thank you ken. I think it was that yellow and blue that made me take this picture. And the angle of the sign seems just right.
