Iris Writing II

More shots from the iris series of the shadows of grasses cast upon iris leaves, seen back lit from the far side like some kind of natural shadow-puppet show. As they moved in the breeze the shadows enlarged and shrunk in scope and detail and focus.

I have to admit that I’m fascinated by these and a little jealous that my iris plants show no such writing. Mine were given to me by my sister whom I suspect did not pay the extra money for the plants with writing. Though the flowers are exquisite, I somehow feel cheated.

That’s sisters for you!
A workaround suggestion: leave the iris bed alone, don’t weed it, don’t be nice to it, neglect it. Heck, don’t even water it. You might then find that some grasses grow up nearby and write on the irises for you. Perhaps your sister thought that was what you were going to do?
