On Guard II

In the summer I posted a black and white shot of this same subject in Port Angeles, Washington. I think I like that one’s point of view best, but the gold paint certainly adds something that is missing from my first post. It ramps up the kitsch factor, if nothing else.

Hmm! What am I supposed to read into an elephant on the roof? Eco-aware, heavy footed, endangered species? I’ve only had one small glass of wine, time for another. And you’ve given me an idea for a Post…

An idea? I wait to see if I can spot it.
I have no idea how do-it-self flooring and cupboards are sold by having a gilded elephant on the roof. It makes zero sense to me. But I am neither in the business, nor in the market for flooring or cupboards. And frankly, my work is rife with elephants – mind you they are in the room, not on the roof, so maybe that makes a difference.

Now I know when I’ve been drinking too much. I thought I saw an elephant on the roof of that building.

He’s a cute little guy but how he got up there I’ll never know.

Is there such a thing as an elephant ladder?

Melinda – did you see a gold one too? That only happens to me when I have been drinking too much Yukon Gold.
(Now, my Research Department just went off to find an amusing link to go with Yukon Gold and discovered the stuff is really called Yukon Jack which goes to show there is nothing funny about it if it corrupts memory like that. Probably happened while I was running away from the Golden Elephant and hit my head on something.)

What I learned from this is that anything with the word “Yukon” in its name is dangerous.

Three of us saw it? That must have been one heck of a party!

It’s too bad, really, that we can’t remember meeting each other at the party….

Yup. No matter how inebriated, that it is gold is enough to convince a person that it is a hallucination.
