Half-frame Snow
More from a few snowy days on Quadra Island in February.

These continue my series of half-frame photos from the Olympus Pen. These are all adjacent shots on the film-strip, taken as multiple frames with the intent to scan as single images. Click on the photos to see them larger.

I think you should copyright this idea. Or, make a book of your experiments. Or an exhibition?

Thanks Andy. I am slowly building up some decent shots. I had not thought of a book or an exhibition. I don’t even know how to go about an exhibition, and a book I suppose is easy if one does it through blurb or issuu. You are planting seeds, but I don’t know if this is fertile ground, yet anyway.

The visual rhythm of this page with the fence header and the quad and di sets of images are stunning.

Hi Patrick – thanks so much. That header won’t last long, so the effect is transitory. However, it was the rhythm in the bushes bent by snow in the top image that really caught my eye – like some kind of bowing wave.
