Gold Cloak
This couple were enjoying the music from outside the beer garden at the Victoria Pride Festival a few weeks ago.
My digital camera had run out of batteries but fortunately I had my point and shoot film camera in a pocket. I really liked the shiny gold cloaks. And the antler head dress on the woman which look as if they had grown there.
I also like the way parts of that guy leaning on the fence are oozing through the chain link. Not sure you can see it at this resolution but it is oddly fascinating, to me anyway.

He will have waffle marks on his back when he gets up. Pity you couldnt get a shot of that.

Hi Val, nice to hear from you. I agree, though I think I would want to make that shot with his shirt on.
I just found lots of typos – the hazard of posting from my phone, which does not work nearly so well as from a computer – fewer controls and the like.

I thought I had returned to a 1969 “summer of love” music festival with this photo – how delightful to see people still dressing in the garb of my youth 🙂

Hi Lynn – I agree. I really like the way they are dressed. The black and white film helps with the nostalgic feel as well.

Maybe hair like that is where the Medusa myth started! (I believe dreadlocks are by no means a modern phenomenon.)

What – you’ve never seen someone with their head covered in snakes? Maybe they don’t have them in Oz.

Yes we do, but it is the first time I have made that connection. 🙂
