Around Back

2014-XA2-002-005

My Olympus XA2 led me around back of the J&J Wonton Noodle House on Fort Street to take a picture.

Then I went around front to have lunch with a friend. One of my favourite restaurants in Victoria, a city of a great many good places to eat.

    • Thanks Lynn – the top of this wall can be clearly seen from the street behind the building, hence the sign. Without the sign, this would be a much less interesting shot. It would have been nice to have a cook hanging about on the step, having a cigarette or something. But then I would probably have felt too shy to take the picture.

    • An open door makes a difference. When it is hot around here, which really is only a few weeks a year, the restaurants often have the back door open to cool off the cooks. There a few air conditioners to be seen, especially on smaller older buildings where so many restaurants are located. I have other restaurant back-door photos where it is open. But not as nicely ‘balanced’ as the back of this building is.
