Love these, Ehpem, especially the light and texture in the second one. Monochrome works so well with woodland shots.

Thank you Lynn! The whole scene was quite monotone in the original colour – with a sepia cast from the wood and ground. But I think it looks better processed like this than in the original.

I think the light sepia tone is perfect for these, ehpem. I love the clearing in the woods shots, too, and these remind me of a park near here that I haven’t visited in a long time.

Good morning Ken – thanks so much. These kinds of clearings are very rare along the outer coast which is normally dense with undergrowth. I think this must be a particular phase in plant succession as it grows back in. Closer to Victoria, the forests are totally different and many have these kinds of clearings, so possibly this is a transition zone to the the outer coast temperate rainforest.
