This sign overlooks the boat ramp shown in yesterday’s photo. Seems a bit odd to have a fisherman’s boat launch next to a sign announcing the sewage outfall location. I hope they go far afield for their fish.

The boat launch at Clover Point, seen in one of my first posts here, and hinted at in others, like this one.
A couple of days ago I went for a walk with my daughter and granddaughter. All three of us walked a long block to the cafe at Fairfield Market, where us adults had our noses wiped and otherwise were taken care of by the youngest. Then she was slung onto her mother and we continued on to Ross Bay Cemetery, where she got back on her own legs.
My granddaughter is at the climbing stairs age, and stone grave surrounds make especially fun places to climb. I suspect that the vast majority of the underground residents would be pleased at the clambering and joy of a one year old above; and those that would not, in life likely were dour and humourless. She also has been practising her dance moves. All in all a very nice couple of hours out with the girls.
The last of my shots from the playing field in Beacon Hill Park.

Another photo from the playing field in Beacon Hill Park, taken just down slope from yesterday’s shot.

This shot is taken next to the playing field that featured in yesterday’s post. It is the access road to the top of Beacon Hill, for which the park is named.

I am guessing this row of trees started as a hedge around the dirt playing field, what was a parade ground, in Beacon Hill Park. The more open section in the middle has caught my eye at 8:30 or so in the mornings when driving this route and yesterday morning I took the time to stop and photograph it. I thought the light was not going to last as the seasons progressed, and besides a bit of monochrome HDR is overdue on this blog.
