Trial Island off the southern shoreline of Oak Bay, Victoria.
I just got back a new batch of film from the Canadian Film Lab.
This shot is exactly as received from them (plus WordPress compression artifacts).
I am very pleased with their scanning – it is much better than I was achieving at home.
I bought the Olympus Superzoom 76G in a thrift store in the late winter and tested it with just one roll of film.
I did not put this image in my test post (here).
But now that I look at it again, I kind of like it.
It is taken at the base of the storm drain which I photograph so often, some say too often.
The light was just right for this shot taken at the Horticultural Centre of the Pacific.
My mother and I spent a lot of time admiring the light which was dappled bright but not as harsh as in summer.
This time last week I went with my mother for a walk around the Horticultural Centre of the Pacific.
We found the shadows interesting here on the back of this enclosure which holds a bench.
A view of the horticultural center that I am betting you won’t find anywhere else on-line.
My granddaughter is visiting for the thanksgiving weekend. (more…)
