A couple of weeks ago I had to cool my heels in Esquimalt for an hour or two.
Fortunately I had a camera with me, and the light was terrific.
Not much to say about this photo, it comes with a caption.
There was a memorial service underway inside, for a woman who died in her 90s.
This shot is actually about those signs.
But I can’t help noticing the rinky dink light above the sign, supposedly doing the work of a big mercury vapor street light.
The conversion to LED street lights is really changing the way the street feels.
The Tidemark theatre is in Campbell River, photographed a couple of weeks ago.
When I last photographed it (link here) in September, it was a brownish beige.
I think the new colour is going to take some getting used to.
This is the back side of a garage in Esquimalt.
The garage next to it, for another property, has a colourful mural on it.
This one is kind of run down, but it makes for a more interesting photo.
Mid-January we made a trip up island for our granddaughter’s fourth birthday.
While in the area we stopped at Miracle Beach for a walk.
Not exactly a storm drain, but certainly a worthy substitute!
This roving is for sale in a weaving and knitting shop called Knotty By Nature that is located a short walk from my home.
And below is a part of their seasonal window display.
