This Garry Oak is in Beacon Hill Park.
I have tried to photograph it at other times, but never have been able to frame out parts of trees that crowd in quite close.
The 16 mm lens allowed me to get close enough to lose the neighbours.

Somehow I missed the focus, though don’t have a clue how that happened – how is that even possible with a 16mm lens?
It’s not the end of the world having the foreground in focus, but not quite what I had in mind.
This would be an interesting subject with a tilt-shift lens.
This is Clover Point, early in the morning.
There are standards to be kept at this place.
For instance, more space should have been left at the top.
The building on the right is a youth hostel.
I ended up with several shots since the light was so nice.

Apparently, the main purpose of this building on Discovery Street is to be a matrix for graffiti.
