Steel and Chrome
Or should the title be Chrome and Steel? This land yacht (as we called them in my childhood) is in front of Willy’s Bakery on Johnson Street.
While I was taking this picture from the middle of the street, I could sense Melinda’s camera upon my back, though perhaps she did not take that shot. I may never know.

Looks like a 1960’s Cadillac with those flattened out tail fins. Did you get a look?

I am not sure how you did it, but you made the car look even longer in the photo than it actually was! (Also, don’t tell anyone, but I did get a couple of shots of the car, too. They aren’t as good as this one.)

Land yacht – that’s funny! In Germany we don’t have those kinds of cars but of course we know them from TV, and we used to call them ships 🙂

I am in the field on a limited satellite connection so have not had a good browse of your website, but intend to on my return. And, this is a real set of wheels unlike any they make now, or ever will again.
