Oar Dock
These oars are on the Friday Harbor lab dock waiting for someone to sign them out and take a boat for a row. I have many fond memories of rowing boats from this dock when I was young.
I really like the shadows they are casting in the early morning sun, and how it interacts with the dock surface. These are some of my favourite shots from our weekend spent at Friday Harbour.

This post was scheduled in advance as I am out of town and completely off grid for the first two weeks of June. Naturally I won’t be answering any comments until I get back – but please, don’t hesitate to comment, I will do my best to respond when I can.

Stunning. I love the black and white; the lines of shadow and light are truly wonderful.

Hey thanks Ryan – I thought these were some of my best images from my trip to Friday Harbor and was surprised to find no comments at all, even though I was away. Glad someone filled that gap 🙂 The b&w is my favourite too.
