Trafalgar Play

Today after dinner I played with my new macro in Trafalgar Park – I am still trying to master it, learn the tricks and get a feel for using it. In these pictures I really like the little touches of setting sun on the small corners of the stone.

I am going to be away for a few days, starting on Friday, and this lens is going with me, probably to be used a lot. I am off on a short trip back to Haida Gwaii for a potlatch, which I am so pleased to be attending. One result is that I am going to prepare a series of posts in my absence, and it seems now that they will all be from playing about in Trafalgar Park. Even though I am not gone yet, the series has started itself today, with two shots that I could have taken with some of my other lenses. These stone etched words are on a bench that was in a recent post of mine.
