Fernwood West IV

Walnut Street Bungalow

A few more photos from my Fernwood series. Above is a small bungalow on Walnut Street, a bit west of Fernwood Road and the heart of the neighbourhood.

Below is what I am pretty sure is an artist studio (in part) on Chambers Street a block or so east of Cook Street.

I’m hoping my computer will back from the shop by the time you see this post. If not, and the responses are piling up, then that is why.

    • Thanks Andy. The reflection was one of those unnoticed bonuses, I was more concerned with framing out some pedestrians behind the utility pole and did not notice the reflection until I looked on screen.

  1. Fernwood looks like a colorful place to live. I love the bungalow with the yellow door. It would be a shame to convert these to black and white as the color is so expressive of the character of these homes.

    • That is a very good observation Ken, about the colour. It kept me from making these ones black and white like so much of the rest of the series. And, walking in these old neighbourhoods one of the things that really catches one’s interest is the colourful paintwork, so they really represent an important aspect of the area.
