State Ferries

The Washington State Ferries ticket booth in  Friday Harbor has just the right paint on the street to suit my mood.

And the ice cream store next door was like a beach to the tide while I was standing there with my camera. A whole wave of school kids came tumbling and rolling across the road and were sucked away into the drain-door. Thanks to the wonders of HDR, I managed to get rid of most of the kids through combining the different exposures.

    • Ha! Maybe that is true, now that you mention it:). I like that shade of green too – much better than the dark green they use on the ferries. I suspect this is a recent structure, designed to fit in with the old feel of Friday Harbor, though I have no proof of that.

    • Thanks Andy. I don’t think I would have posted the second shot all on its own, but since it is side by side with the first it seemed to warrant/allow a showing. Its redeeming characteristic is the big vents on the roof, but they are not enough I don’t think.
