Iris Bug VI
Another in my iris series from the garden – this is a continuation of the mini-series showing invertebrate users of the irises. This appears to be a bee – I am pretty sure that it is, and not a fly in disguise.
The picture above is cropped from one similar to the one below, as are the ones further down.
I almost forgot to post today. I went out late last night and photographed a band. Then today I have spent a lot of time processing images and all you guys slipped my mind. Almost. Better late, than never.

My mind has been slipped once or twice before so I understand the feeling.
The first cropped shot still shows incredible detail. I have no favorites in the group, they’re all excellent.

Hey Melinda, well, more precisely, you *nearly* slipped my mind. I wrote that in a rush so I could go out and try to make a timelapse of the super-moon rise (I know, it is actually tomorrow, but if the sky is more or less clear, then I say take advantage, and in fact tonight it coincided with sunset so might be a better timelapse anyway). Which was somewhat confounded by clouds. But in the opposite direction was a fantastic sunset, so I got to watch that, unable to take picture, while the camera fired away in the opposite direction.

We went to a wedding in a little town near here. Actual sentence overheard at the church: Don’t lean on the wall – the termites are really bad.
The reception was outdoors. It was about 95 degrees, and there was a strong wind and it was dusty.
So, I think you win the Who Had a Great Evening contest.

Well, it was a pretty good evening, and one of its products is on display in an hour or so. As to winning a contest – what a relief to finally win something. It seems forever since I won something, in fact, it was forever.
I have been heard to tell the kids don’t jump up and down in the living room, the foundations are really bad. Glad we don’t have to deal with termites as well as generally poor construction.
