Cloud Pole

I was taking pictures of my granddaughter in a shady patch in the garden when I noticed the sky overhead. A bit distracting!

This is really growing on me – and I think it would look really good hanging on a wall in Texas……

Hi Andy – it was. The pole was the only thing in the foreground that worked though. I tried teasels too, but they were too busy I thought.

The pole works very well as an anchor

Thank you! It was a surprise to look up from what I was doing and see what had formed while I wasn’t paying attention.

You shouldn’t call your granddaughter “distracting”! Great shot, btw.

Thanks Ken. She is distracting, in all the nicest ways:) Even under skies like this which deserved quite a bit of attention of their own, but got precious little.

Thanks Lisa, usually when they get like this around here I don’t have my camera. It doesn’t last long.

I wonder what my phone meant when it sent this message, completely without my permission? Although I will say that it IS an interesting AC unusual shot. (Maybe these words were too hard for the phone to spell.)

YOur phOne has been On hOliday tOO lOng, gOne all unruly On us. My partner is away and I am getting a lot of emails and similar full of misplaced umlauts and other unruly foreign technology intrusions, so I am inured right now.
I hope your holiday is going well! Put that phone away, I can’t believe it is an aid to relaxation.

Sorry about that. I don’t know what was going on with my phone – especially since I didn’t even HAVE phone service where I was. I almost home now, though, so maybe the phone will leave you almond now.

Hmm. Not sure if “almond” is a clever cultural reference going over my left shoulder, or it it is your teasing phone. If the latter, I recommend serious punishment. Swap out the sim-card, or something.

Love the starkness and tension in the composition.. Wish I were well enough to plough back through your recent catalogue to see what I’ve missed. One day soon I hope.

Hi Katherine! Nice to see hear from you. All my best for feeling better soon, though I would hope when that happens you spend your energy on your blog rather than mine 🙂
