Wall Wire

On Sunday we stopped at the grand opening of the Ross Bay Villa, a heritage house that has undergone restoration for 13 years. It was a pleasure to meet Mr. and Mrs. Toad, of Toad Hollow Photography there. I took almost no photos, but I was very much drawn to this nice, newly built cedar fence that is in the garden area. The chicken wire is for peas to climb on.
Afterwards we walked across the road to the Ross Bay Cemetery for a bit of a wander about, and that is when I noticed the tiny headstone in yesterday’s post.

Thanks Karen. This shot is details, and not much more, so that is gratifying:)

I like how the wire itself is nearly invisible, showing up only as its own shadow.

Thanks Melinda, those shadows are what made me find the way into the garden to get this shot.

Those are some powerful shadows, to draw you into the garden to take their photograph. I am glad they did, though, as it’s a good one.

The chicken wire and the shadow of the wire is really nice. I would have shot this, too. I’ll bet this is nice when it’s covered in peas.

Thank you Ken. I think it will be next year that it is covered in peas, as it is getting a bit late now. But I will keep an eye on it, I think I can see this spot from the bus when I take one to work.
