Leafscapes

I was not going to post more of these quite so soon after Leaf Topography of yesterday, but my evening schedule conspired to necessitate a quick post, so two days in a row we get these landscapes from the surface of teazle leaves
Todays are treated with a bit more emphasis on the darks and contrasts than yesterdays, though that treatment comes by pulling down the green and yellow levels during the black and white conversion.

Canon 5Dii, Canon 100mm/f2.8 macro, ISO100, f4.5, 1/40th and 1/20th respectively (hand held, hence the sligtht blur, but I decided it fit the them somewhat, of aerial imagery, taken at speed).

I think the square format works well with these as well as the desaturated greens and yellows. It might even increase the contrast a bit too. Now I’m inspired shoot some leaves.

Thank you Ken. I didn’t touch the contrast slider in my conversion, but the green and yellow adjustments made a big difference to the contrast, especially the green. I just looked at the settings again and shoul have said that I put the yellows nearly all the way up the greens nearly all the way down. Which is what did the contrast.
There are a lot of leaves lying around at this time of year, so you won’t even have to climb a tree!
