Ohhhhhhhhhhh. Doesn’t need a railing. You (and nature) have rendered the light beautifully. What a wonderful combination of simplicity and complexity. I could look at this for hours.

Thanks Linda! This one is looking to the south, the others have been to the east. Even so, the way the fog was lifting has made it look as if it might be at sunset with the bright light to the west, instead of just after dawn.

Us viewers of photos don’t. I think the insurers encourage the city to have railings in place though. They can be handy to lean on when taking photos.

Thanks Melinda. That horizon line is a combination of real and a bit of a processing artifact that I liked and left. It might have been on another image that it was accidental, but then I started playing with it, so I can’t even say if this one is a complete accident, or the spawn of an accident.

Thank you Ashley. I agree, no railing is good. This is actually what I went out to shoot (sort of, except diagonal was in my mind, not horizontal) but I did become entranced with the railing.
