Thank you Karen. Again! 🙂

The railing is about a third of the way up the frame and that works perfectly to me. Glorious colours, again.

I don’t understand your uncertainty about this one either. This is outstanding.

Thank you Ken! You will see my response that I just gave Melinda – the bar seems in not quite the right place to me. But, it seems I might be wrong about that too.

If you are unsure about the placement of the bar in the composition, try cropping out about half of the blue area under the (black part) of the bar. This should give you close to a 16:9 ratio which seems to be the new normal size for many compositions. That might be why it’s a preset in the Lightroom crop tool..With your camera/lens combination you have a lot of resolution to play with, especially in a composition that doesn’t rely on detail

Thanks Ken, I will play with that photo some more, and I do have other shots with the bar lower in them. I have been fooling with the crops a bit in this series, though most are as shot (except sometimes a touch of straightening), which makes me happy when I get the composition right in the first place.

This is beautiful – very nice color combinations, and I love the gold reflections along the top edge of the railing. Why in the world would you have been uncertain about this one?!

Thanks Melinda. I was uncertain because I am not sure about the composition – the placement of the bar is not exactly right to my eye. It is good to hear the opposite from others, makes me want to go look at some I rejected from this series to see if I am missing something in them.

Hi Sheila – thanks for the comment. I am glad you like it. This one I was uncertain about when posting it so I am glad for the likes and comments which argue against my own hesitation.
