Coho Handrail
Another photo in the Coho ferry series, taken on the way to Port Angeles and the Olympic Peninsula last July.
The last time I posted about the Coho it was a set of heavily processed images, this time the image is straight from the camera, other than a bit of sharpening done as a preset on all my RAW images on upload as well as a lens profile correction preset which for this lens removes some vignetting.

Really interesting composition Mr E. I’m not sure why but it reminds me of something from my childhood. I think it is the clowns that swivel with the open mouths that you pop balls into at carnivals. Not sure why that is conjured up by this image!

The paint looks to be an inch thick here. I like that. The rail has that well maintained, beautiful graceful curve to it.

Hi Ken – thanks! I like that too. The whole ferry looks like it is carrying a few tons of dry paint spread around these kinds of surfaces.
