This shot is taken next to the playing field that featured in yesterday’s post. It is the access road to the top of Beacon Hill, for which the park is named.

Excellent shot – especially the way the road curves to the left, toward the mass of clouds. There’s also something about the patches in the asphalt that I like.

Thank you Melinda – sorry about losing this comment, it slipped out of view for a while. There is a lot about those patches on the asphalt that I like – they are on of my favourite parts of the photo. The curve in the upward road in the road is another.

Hi Linda – thanks for the comment. That land is the Olympic Mountains, some of the Strait of Juan de Fuca is visible too. Those mountains can dominate our view sometimes, from higher vantages

Looking at this again, I want to add that I like how the foreground slopes to the right. I really really like this photograph altogether.
