Beacon Hill

This shot is taken next to the playing field that featured in yesterday’s post. It is the access road to the top of Beacon Hill, for which the park is named.

    • Thank you Melinda – sorry about losing this comment, it slipped out of view for a while. There is a lot about those patches on the asphalt that I like – they are on of my favourite parts of the photo. The curve in the upward road in the road is another.

    • Hi Rufus, I just found that I had not replied – sorry for the delay. And thanks so much for the comment. The sky was inspiring and it helped to see this scene that I had not noticed before even though I have been here many times.

    • Hi Linda – thanks for the comment. That land is the Olympic Mountains, some of the Strait of Juan de Fuca is visible too. Those mountains can dominate our view sometimes, from higher vantages

      • Thanks Linda! I too like how the road is just kind of laid on the side of the hill with little cutting or filling so that road slopes too.
