Barbed Circle
Spare wire. Do you think it has cold metallic yearnings to stretch and snag?

It feels like the darker trees on the left are moving toward the wire, hoping to wrap themselves around it.

I think you are right, though it must be awfully stealthy since wrapping-self-around is somewhat of a specialty of wire, and not-letting-go an area of expertise for barbed-wire. Things could get interesting in the next decade or two.

Yes, indeed they could. Let’s plan on being around to watch….

If I have a couple more decades in me, that will be pretty good. And if I can still walk across fields to watch the progress, that will be even better.

Your Canon camera clearly had cold metallic yearnings to take this fine photograph showing the impossibilty of keeping nature at bay

Well, it is true the Canon has a lot of metal in it, which is no longer true of many cameras. So it could be an influence, or attraction?
And, the wire was not doing a good job of keeping nature from recovering this field – there were many incursions around the edges.

Looks very organic, not at all like a man man object. Yes, it has very nasty desires, I’d say!
