Light Well
This shot taken on Wharf Street while exploring Victoria with Melinda Green Harvey.
Wharf Street is quite high above the harbour, so the older waterfront buildings often have two or three stories below street level.

I really like this image, perfect for B&W. Like others, does remind me of Escher…really love this image!

Thanks David. It turned out better than I was expecting.

I thought Escher the moment I saw this – and now I see I wasn’t the only one. An unusual perspective here, used to good effect

Thanks Andy! It is a pretty unique location in this town but I had not looked over this edge for years, so it was a bit of a revelation when in a Seeing mood.

Hi Rhian – thanks for coming by and commenting. I had a look around your blog, you have some very nice photos there and I will check back again. Since you are new to blogging, I thought I would mention that if you are looking for views via the WP Reader, then you should know that any post with more than 15 tags and categories combined will not show in the reader as some kind of anti-spam measure on WP’s part. You can check this by following yourself and viewing the Reader – I expect you won’t see many, or any, of your posts.

Hmm, interesting. I obviously had no idea and I really appreciate you letting me know. That’s really thoughtful of you, thanks for the heads up. Thanks also for your kind words about my photography and for checking out my blog. I’ll be checking out your blog in more detail too. Thank you again & happy blogging 🙂

15? I thought it was 10…lol, I’ve been keeping mine 10 and under. Perhaps I’ll bump it up to 15. 😉

Ha – maybe its the combination of tags and categories! As time goes on I find I am tagging less and less.

That is beautiful, Ehpem. I like the sense of the modern rising up from the ancient. At least, this is how it reads to me. I love that it is in black and white.

Hi Karen – thanks! It is quite nice in all its brick-redness but black and white does work better. And there is something ancient about the deeper parts. Unfortunately I could not get into the opposite wall due to a gate, I would have liked to poke around and take pictures from some other angles.

Nice! It has a sort of MC Escher feel to it, don’t you think?

THAT is exactly what I was thinking, but unable to a name to. Thanks for that 🙂

I was just thinking that it’s a bonus to be with a fellow blogger; you must see things a little differently.

Hi there – we see things quite differently I think. Melinda asked me a few times when I was taking pictures ‘what are you seeing’. I did not really have answers for those questions as it is something hard for me to articulate. Obviously we need to spend more time together to explore such questions.
