Square Lines

2014-XA2-001-004

More test shots from the Olympus XA2. These three photos are taken in Market Square a few steps from where I bought the camera.

These are among the first 5 shots I took with the XA2. I like all of them, and there are more in this series, some of which I might even like better.

I bought the camera at Camera-Traders.com which is in Market Square. They rent camera gear, sell used equipment (including over the internet) and I find them a pleasure to do business with.

If you want to more about the XA series, then I recommend this website – it is a treasure trove of information and useful links.

    • Hi Richard – yes, it is a floor – it is at a corner in the decks that are around the square at different levels, hence the big post. The join between the tiled surface and wood decking is uneven and that yellow painted metal is to prevent tripping, or allow wheelchairs, or both. I like that one best too for the variations in the background

    • Hi Lynn – since I took these pictures there has been almost no sun. I was back there, but it was a flat day. Visiting at different times of the day is a very good idea. It would be interesting to choose one of these locations and set up a tripod for a timelapse as well.

    • Thanks Ken – that is an excellent idea. It could be very interesting if done with the Pen as well – a fliptych could work very well. Or manipulated in post, for which my skills are still very minimal. The Pen does have film in it right now ….
