Deer Gate
Deer fences are a common sight in my neighbourhood as there is an infestation of deer that prefer juicy vegetables and flowers to native plants.
Yesterday I watched three deer eating fallen apples 5 feet away in the backyard. They take one bite from each apple, rendering them useless for human use.
This shot is part of a gate across a neighbourhood driveway, its sole purpose is to block deer.

I admire a photo that takes advantage of the light and patterns that we come across each day, like this one. The shallow depth of field is well done here.

Thanks Ken. The patterns in the gate are what drew me to this one. The pavers in the background were just too much pattern so shallow depth of field it was.
