Dead Slow
“Dead slow” usually is a strange phrase to me – does it describe the gait of a zombie, or one’s fate if slow or not slow?
This sign is on the gate (see what I did?) leading to a business on Quadra Island. I think in this case the meaning is quite clear.

Language can be very strange sometimes when you really analyze it. It’s the visual aspect of this sign that amuses me. The guy driving the forklift is out of his seat almost as if thrilled by the action of spearing the guy in the car.

It is a very good sign in many ways – the strange language and the design. Of course it was the visual aspects that caught my attention. I wonder if they still make these signs, I have not seen, or noticed anyway, another one and this one looks like it might have been there for a few decades.
