Shade II
Another shot of the trees on the front lawn of the Heriot Bay Inn on Quadra Island.
I posted about this early in the summer, but was drawn back a few more times.
The weather was like this the whole time I was there, and there is a pub at this location, so several very good reasons to visit.
Today was dark and winter-y, so this is a nice pick-me-up and reminder of summer.

A pub, you say? Hmm…another place to add to my list for future visit(s). Cold is arriving here in Texas tomorrow, with a chance of snow over the weekend. I’m already ready for summer. And a pub.

Quadra is a beautiful island. The Hecate Inn also has live music, a occassional stand up comedy show in the summer and good food. In case you know someone that likes diving, this part of the coast has lots of opportunities that way as well.

The cold weather is now upon us, too. We had the fireplace going for the first time this season. This shot does warm me a bit. Funny how that works.

Hi Ken – it is funny how that works. Your recent post of tangled branches against a grey sky has totally the opposite effect, but it is the same process at work. Our brains (and by our, I mean human brains, not just you and me) are very weird things in they ways they control us.
