Yellow Boots

I visited my daughter and granddaughter in a park yesterday. My granddaughter is learning to name colours, and yellow is one she knows best.

As we were saying out goodbyes to head off in separate directions this small mutt passed by, trailing far behind its humans.

I prefer the cropped version as the dog detail is more clear, but there are nice things about the uncropped one below, the yellow leaf for instance.

  2. I prefer the uncropped version. The cart on the left appears smaller and attention is drawn more to the dog (and the leaf). I wonder how effective the composition would be if the entire cart was cropped out. Can you tell I’m a ruthless cropper?

    • Hi Ken, thanks for the suggestion. I am enough of a cat guy to never consider posting a shot of a dog just on its own, without an excuse, like the boots of a grandchild… Since that has been done above, here is a crop to your suggestion, though perhaps not as tight as you might have been thinking?
cropped no boots, dog and leaf
